Hi,
I saw your email address on a blog about Elvis Presley's DNA. I know someone too who has a definite possibility of being the child of Elvis. I don't want to post publicly on a blog about the situation.
I'm interested in knowing more about the daughter you mentioned.
Thanks,
Cmaj
In my person's case, no one is planning to get rich over any of it. The Aunt has considered selling the letters to the estate b/c they are valuable and would cause a "stir" if ever made public. She knows the estate would get rid of them and that would be the end of it. Of course, my person is against this b/c once the letters are gone, that's another piece of evidence that is gone forever. The Aunt and the mother are 100% set against the daughter proving paternity. They want this story to stay in the closet where it's been for over 50 years.
The daughter doesn't want publicity in this matter. She wants to know for herself that the story she's been told is true. According to family and other information, the story is true, but the ultimate proof is in the DNA.
Thank you for the information--you seem to have a lot of it.
Another interesting part of this story is that there were/are several letters from EP about this pregnancy. He asked that they be torn up after reading them, but they weren't. They were written to Betty's (the mother of the child in question) younger sister. The younger sister was about 15 at the time and knew him through her sister and the Hayride. He wrote her to find out about Betty since Betty was out of state to have the baby. The letters stayed in Betty's mother's family Bible for over 20 years (in the living room). Finally, the younger sister took them to her home after E died. Several family members have seen and read the letters. The younger sister will NOT give them up or let anyone see them now. Last year she mentioned that she had spoken with an attorney about "selling" them to the estate. There is NO WAY the younger sister will help out. She said she believes EP would "roll over in his grave" if she allowed them to be made public. She also believes they are a way to help her children financially. The letters do belong to her--another reason DNA is the only way for my person.
If you look, you can find features that resemble EP, however, you wouldn't think to make the connection if you didn't know.
I don't think I've ever posted on a board. I've read lots of them. Which one do you think to be the best? alt.elvis.king is the one I read mostly but they really get hostile at times. I want these emails to be kept confidential.
I need to feel more comfortable with this situation, as you do too.
As for Tim, I haven't made up my mind. I don't know that the recently scanned article is authentic. When his news first came out last year, there was no mention of an article--at least from what I've read. The font seems to be different for the names under their pictures. 'Let the fans decide' as title of the article seems to be something he says now and an unlikely title for an article in 1978. Then, there's no date, name of town or name of paper printed in the article.
When you mentioned that EP was on video---do you think he is still alive?
Will this D. Presley submit to DNA?
What about Jason Peter Presley who surfaced in 2002? His mother was Patricia Parker who filed a paternity suit in the late 60'...
Who is the person in Texas?
Thank you for your information,

The daughter I'm speaking of is willing to do a DNA with anyone who has a very credible story. If both daughters are willing to pay their share for DNA testing, they firmly believe they have proof enough to go to the trouble. Ultimately, DNA is really the only thing that matters...With a match between two half siblings, it's all that's needed.
The daughter I mentioned just turned 50 years old. Her mother met EP when he began singing at the Louisiana Hayride. The mother was still living at home with her family when she met him. On several occassions, he visited them at her home and had dinner. She came from a small town and was a beautiful and popular girl. When she became pregnant, there was no one to marry...she was sent away to have the baby. In those days, the worst thing you could do was to have a baby out of wedlock. Had there been a local boyfriend, there would have been a wedding. She returned home without the baby hoping no one would know she had given birth. A short time later, her parents retrieved the baby from out of state and told family and friends that they had decided to adopt "a" baby.
There's more to the story, but it is a story the family does not want told--even after all this time. That is why in this case, DNA is the only thing that matters. The daughter does not want to be
part of a public debate, boards, blogs or skepticism. She wants anonymity until there is proof positive through DNA.
If "Elizabeth" has a very credible story and is willing to pay for her share of a DNA comparison test, my person may be willing to do the same. DNA can be gathered from any acredited lab in any part of the country for comparison.
It would be a long shot that the DNA would match, but if it did.....
What kind of DNA testing did Elizabeth do with relatives?

My person does not want pictures involved at this point due to privacy issues.
If there were several who are convinced, it would work well to have all DNA's compared at once.
I have no idea of how to have this done. That's why we're reading and researching all we can to find a perfect fit in doing this.
