The beginning of the Elvis groups

Since the so called death of Elvis Presley many alive groups have begun and ended and some just went deeper into the community.Lets face it people if you say Elvis is alive you may as well get the straight jackets ready.Cause thats the treatment that you will recieve if you even mutter the thought of it.The first group that was created was called The Gathering by Gail Brewer,This was a spin off of her Elvis is alive books.Don't get me wrong the books were great for reading and did leave the thought that Elvis just very well may be alive.But once this group took off and it did really fast the stories began unfold and go every way but loose.Not only did you have the Elvis phone calls but you had the Elvis videos and letters that looked pretty damn good for some amateurs.But the thing they didn't think about was the fact that this material would be ripped the shreads on down the line.With the media and self appointed people.She pretty much was discredited of anything and everything that she had prodcued those years in the 80's.The worst was the Geraldo show in 85 I believe.This man ruined her and Bill Smith along with Dee presley.Dee Presley was only mad cause she was left nothing when Vernon passed away.Needless to say he dumped her sorry ass later on down the line before he passed.Dee and her boys were jilted and left nothing.So she had to recover what she fealt was owed to her.So she wrote a book that detailed many personal issues and lies that she claimed Vernon told her.Her sons had no money at the time and they were in bad shape.And what a great way to make a buck,A tell all on Presley and his life and what they thought would gain the public attention.Now on the Geraldo show they tore them all new ones and made then look really stupid and low for ever considering making the lies and stories avail for the public eye.Joe E who was there also defended his best friend Elvis.Joe was very upset and knew what was truth and lies.They even let the fans have at them and it wasn't pretty at all.With all this going on her group was getting bigger by the minute and had a newsletter and meetings and all kinds of cute foofoo stuff.These people that called themselves Gatheringites were nothing more than Elvis fans using wishful thinking.Not to mention were pretty much all women and a few men too.These women all wanted some kind of control over the group and that started the mudslinging.They all told lies about each other and made outlandish stories about one another.Thus was the begining of the end so to say and after some time of this the group broke off into these subgroups.These groups were also known as The Honey Children that was ran by Linda,The Blue Light Group and so on.They all had thier own thoughts on Elvis and what they had to offer him and what they would get in return for helping him.Now these groups are still active and once the information highway was invented this made it easier to post mass emails and groups all over the net.They started on TalkCity that was a WebTv based chatroom.Now WebTv was one of the original internet access machines if you didn't own a comp and it was rather cheap about 99 dollars and for about 15 bucks a month you could surf the net,check email and so on.The main group that started in about 1995 was called Elvisangel1 and you can still find posts and reference to these board online if you look hard enough.And what the great thing is these people that belonged to these groups are still out there today.If your really good enough you can see what years really started the whole Elvis issue.Also you will find these groups and the members and what they were all saying.Most these people that were on these boards were clueless as to why and if Elvis faked his death.And you see these people all ask the same thing.Like our Jon Cotner who is suppose to be Elvis and friends with Larry Blong.I have the post from the 90's that shows he didn't even know who Larry Blong was at the time.And now he knows all about him and claims he has for ever.This just shows how lost they really were and what they are doing now is only using the OLD info to make a new story.I stress the word old cause it is very old info and really has no bias as to the current events today in the Elvis communities.What was thier purpose to make these claims? Was if Fame? Money? Popularity? It was all the above and they knew it.These fans would give thier own families away for a chance to have contact with a Elvis or one that they say is Elvis.All these people are 1 big group and they have no plans of stopping now nor do they in the near future.

Thanks for all the great information you posted here.It brings a lot of Elvis Fans that haven't been all that up to date current on how stories have been started,and what groups are responsible for starting them in the first place.Its so good to see that so many of these lies and stories are being ripped open.They have went on long enough as far as I am concerned.There have been a lot of true Elvis Fans hurt,by the freaks out there who prey on them,and are so miserable in their own lives,they have to lie and make up shit to get attention.Maybe they are unhappy in their jobs,or in their relationships,or just with themselves,and it makes them feel good to hurt and deceive others,who are just truly wanting to share stuff about Elvis.Some of them see the computer and internet as a game,a way to portray themselves as what they wish they were,not what they really are.I can honestly say,that I have never tried to hurt anybody by using the internet.The net is a good way to communicate,and to do research ere always has to be the bad apples.The ones that lie,and play mind games.These are the cruel,and heartless so called humans,that take a good thing and ruin it.Their bad,and base their lives on fantasies and lies.so they just assume the person they are talking to is doing the same,these are the kind of people that Elvis would dislike if he were alive.So if any of you people read this post and think it might apply to you,then shame on you!and you need to rethink what you are doing,and why you feel the need to act in such a manner,why it bulids you up to hurt another person,because you are using Elvis's name to lie and hurt others,myself, I don't think he would appreciate you for doing this.

If I might add two cents here . All one needs to do is research people and their IPs and email names. You find they all keep tracking back to the same people and same groups. Oddly enough you also will find that many of the Elvis boards out there are even in on it all. Check out all those Elvis meetup groups. See who their members are. I sometimes wonder if these people are not just well intentioned as far as trying to bring back some semblance of decency to music. Lets face it what do we have for popular music today? This crap is not just a fad its downright immoral and just plain stupid. I find it hard to fault these overzealous Elvis fans in this respect but at the same time there seems to be more at work than just their love of his music. Some are trying to become famous(LOL) by using him as a means to their end. Etas,phony relatives and even some phonies that are related or were involved with him. Talk about vultures. But hey take a look at EPE! What haven't they done to make a buck off the golden goose? I bet none of the people involved in all the scamming ever thought they would be taken down by a few nobodies off the net. Which I might add goes to show how smart they are not!

I would have to agree that the internet is a portal to anyone and everyone who wants to say and do anything without ever being seen.Most people on the lie cause they always say that they will never meet the people they are lying to anyway.It goes for everything online, Chat rooms,Dating websites and so on... People lie and make themselves something they are not! Has anyone ever met anyone off line that looked and did what they said they did online? NO!! We have nothing to hide and its true..If I say I can swing my Johnson around my legs like a lasso then darnit I can do it.No need to make ones self more than what you really are.If you a female and you 5 feet tall and 450 pounds then so be it !! No need to lie cause sooner or later they will find out who you are and bust your lying arse.Just like these Blong people..Hell we blew thier cover long ago and all these people and groups are all in on it together.Check the ip addresses and they all trace back to the same people and groups.EPE has done it along with these other freaks and liars.I myself do talk to some of these people I have met off line and I consider them good friends.And others I just chalkup as losers and liars, Sure they will tell you anything to get you hooked and when your hooked is when you see the true colors of these people come out.Jon,Marie and the rest of the Sunny Acres Nut Farm are all over the net.They have a different name everyday and they can't say it isnt them cause they post the same damn photos and when busted they just change names and go on about thier business.Truth be know the internet and computer doesn't lie.Deep down if you look hard enough you will find the truth about these people.Well folks I'm off to the Big Johnson Open..I need to practice my big Johnson swing..
